Ulla & John at Wholefoods - Celebrating the Local

Wholefoods is celebrating small local producers and invited the owners for a photo shoot to their local store. The owners/vendors added to the buzz in the produce department where the photographer took the pictures in front of the produce. If was fun meeting other owners that we see regularly at the farmers markets in Boulder and Vail. As the Boulder store sells alcoholic beverages we mingled with corn, salad dressing, ice cream and other booze. It was fun to be the celebrity for the day.

Colorado Mountain Winefest 2015

We are just days away from traveling to Palisade for the Annual Colorado Mountain Winefest! This is the biggest wine event held every year in Colorado, which showcases the best food and wine offerings from our beautiful state! BookCliff Vineyards and Black Cat Farm Bistro will be hosting wine and dinner the evening of Friday, September 18th, in Palisade. What makes this dinner so unique is the fact that you will be surrounded by the vineyards that are carefully grown and maintained to make the wine characteristic to Grand Valley, and enjoying locally grown food by Eric and Jill Skokan of Black Cat Farm Bistro. BookCliff Vineyards Release Party

BookCliff Vineyards heads to the Rockies

Starting this Saturday 6/13/15 you can find BookCliff Vineyards at the Edwards Corner Farmers Market where you can find fresh produce and locally prepared foods and of course local wine. BookCliff will be there and have its wines available for taste. Shop for your dinner needs ranging from seafood, pasta, produce to dessert and everything perfectly paired with wine.
Then the following weekend we will attend the Vail Farmers market starting 6/21/15 on Sundays making sure you can stock up with local wine for the week whether you join us Saturdays at the Edwards' Corner market or come see us in Vail on Sundays.

Benefits of a Wine Club

Wine Clubs are fun to be a part of, especially when the winery is nearby! BookCliff Vineyards started their wine club just over a year ago and it has grown tremendously. Our members get to partake in special events, such as pickup parties and wine blending classes! We just hosted a blending class last Sunday and had fun seeing which blends our guests enjoyed the most! Being part of a wine club allows you to not only get invited to exclusive events, but to also receive free monthly tastings and great discounts on wine purchases, buy new wines that are small production, taste wines that will be bottled just for you and to simply have fun learning about your local winery! BookCliff Barrel Tasting Dinner

To everyone who has been excited about tasting new vintage wines straight from the barrel, BookCliff Vineyards will be hosting their Annual Spring Barrel Dinner in May! This is a time to experience the art and crafting of wine. We are pleased with the wines and how they are developing and softening in the barrels, and can't wait for you to try them! All of our red wines will see barrel for at least 6 months and some up to 18 months. Using both French and American oak, we can't be happier with the integration of soft, toasted vanilla notes and fruit! Our Assistant Winemaker, Justin, is constantly checking the aging wine and tasting them with John to make sure they are developing as expected.

BookCliff at Taste of Pearl in Boulder

BookCliff Vineyards will be part of Taste of Pearl again.
On Sunday, April 19 during Downtown Boulder’s Taste of Pearl attendees will stroll along Pearl Street – in and out of well-known businesses including while tantalizing their taste buds with offerings from some of the town’s  most well-recognized and award-winning restaurants.  While attendees revel in the heavenly food from trailblazers in Boulder’s culinary scene, they will also enjoy distinctive Colorado wines.
This year’s event is on track to sell out prior to the event date.  Tickets and additional information can be found online at TasteOfPearl.com.   
A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFFA), a local non-profit helping those in Boulder and Broomfield counties whose immediate need for food, shelter and other basic necessities cannot adequately be met by other means.

Touch of Red Release

No need to panic anymore! Touch of Red is getting bottled tomorrow and released this weekend! This sweet, delightful wine is a popular puppy and she sold out this year! We went for a couple of months without it until we finished making the wine from our 2014 grapes. It exhibits bright, fruity sweet flavors with a smooth, yummy finish! It's a wonderful wine to enjoy with chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake or just by itself!
