First Friday at BookCliff Vineyards

First Friday is back for April with art on display from Jane Braley, wine and cheese flights to snack on and cool Jazz to listen to starting at 6:00pm.
The NoBo Art District has become a hot spot to hang out on the First Friday, walking for studio and business to studio meeting the artist. This is a neighborhood event to be part of. Come join us at BookCliff Vineyards from 6:00pm to 9:00pm . Food truck on site.

Valentine's at BookCliff Vineyards

Why wait until Valentine's Day? The First Wine Festival of the Year

It is hard to believe, we just made baby steps into the new year and there is already a wine and beer festival around the corner. Only in Colorado where the micro breweries and wineries chomp at the bit from the get-go. This festival is in the beautiful town of Estes Park and comes with a chili cook-off for restaurants and amateurs alike. Enjoy the live music, great food and drink and have a fun time with the family. The event is on the weekend of 1/18/13 - 1/20/13 from 11:00am to 5:00pm both on Saturday and Sunday. Ten Year Anniversary

In 1999 BookCliff Vineyards was federally licensed in the basement of our house and we released the 1998 Chardonnay made from our first harvest in our vineyard in Palisade. The past decade has seen us grow in many ways. We planted our first six acres in 1996 and now own and operate over thirty acres. Last September, the winery literally moved out of the basement into a commercial location in North Boulder that is also home to the tasting room. This year will see our largest production of wine with close to 3,000 cases up from 200 in the first couple years.

We couldn't have done this without you. As a thank you we are throwing an Anniversary Party to celebrate with you. On Saturday, November 7, we will have food, live music and 15% off all wine purchases. We will also have a silent auction of our library wine featuring some of the outstanding wine from the past ten vintages. All proceeds from this auction will go to the WAT Business Services whose mission is "To provide a wide array of employment opportunities for chronically mentally ill adults that will give them self esteem, social meaning and self worth". We really hope you can join us to make this fundraiser and anniversary a huge success.

Release Party of Hand-painted Bottles by Keith Campbell

Once again Scramble and BookCliff Vineyards are teaming up to present another very special limited edition blend of art and wine. This 2nd in a continuing series will feature another of the 100s of paintings Scramble has created at Red Rocks Ampitheater and Park in Morrison Colorado paired with the 2005 BookCliff Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon. Join us for the release party on Sunday July 12th. We will have live music and food for your refreshment and of course the artist will be on hand from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. It is a long way to Christmas, but a hand-painted bottle (BookCliff Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005) makes a great gift for your special wine lover.

New Wine Release Party

Join us in celebrating the release of our brand new wine, Lucky Twenty. This is our new white blend that is just perfect for those summer get-togethers or even just sitting on the porch enjoying a beautiful Colorado sunset. On Friday May 29th, starting at 4:30 pm we will be offering $3.00 glasses of Lucky Twenty along with free food and music at our Boulder wine tasting room. Jerry Weiss and Peneplain will perform live jazz from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. We will also have a raffle to win a free case of wine! It's free to get in so come and join us at the winery/tasting room to help us start the summer off right.

Grand Opening Event!

A big thanks to everyone who came to our little V-day party! Now, this Saturday, come celebrate our Grand Opening. We and our neighbors at Upslope Brewery are throwing a joint Grand Opening bash. It is free to attend and we will be serving free beer and wine tastes as well as free food and live music,we have booked a double feature with Joao Junqueira and his authentic Brazilian jazz and Phil Robinson who delights with familiar folk music. Valentines Party at the Winery!

We are happy to announce that on February 14th, Valentines Day, our new tasting room will be open! Finally. As an added bonus we will also be celebrating the release of two new wines. The current Touch of Red which is our sweet fruity red is the perfect wine to share with your sweetheart. The other wine is the 2008 Riesling. This medium dry Riesling is full of peaches and pears with enough minerality and acidity to keep it perfectly balanced. This is a great wine. You can enjoy live music from Molly Greacen from 4-6pm, while you sip your way through our wine list and pair the wines with some Belgian Chocolates. We will have chocolates from Belvedere Belgian Chocolates. This event is free and open to the public.

BookCliff Wines and More at Mark Vann Foundation Benefit Show.

BookCliff Vineyards is proud to participate in the 6th Annual Mark Vann Foundation Holiday Benefit Concert on Saturday December 6th at the Boulder Theater.
Mark Vann was the founding Banjo player of one of Boulders legendary bands, Leftover Salmon. Sadly Mark passed of Cancer at the age of 39 back in 2002. In celebration of his life and music the Mark Vann Foundation was created to benefit local, national and international charities thru music and art events. Over the past 6 years the Mark Vann Foundation has helped fund organizations ranging from the Boulder Broomfield Community Food Share and Conscious Alliance locally; to the Tipitinas Foundation, the Steam Powered Preservation Society and Rock the Earth amongst more far reaching endeavors. You can even suggest worthy organizations to benefit when visiting the Mark Vann Foundation website.
This years concert will continue to celebrate Marks' life while benefiting people in need. The music will include Vince Herman and Great American Taxi featuring Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth, The Emmitt-Nershi Band and many other special guests announced and unannounced!
In addition to all of the music there will be raffles and a silent auction featuring art, music, concert and festival tickets, and BookCliff Vineyards Wines including one of the last 3 hand painted Scramble Campbell bottles of our 2003 Bordeaux style blend, Ensemble.

Au Revoire '07

Make the BookCliff tasting room your first stop celebrating New Year's Eve. We will be starting the party at 4:30 in the tasting room (which is still at 1468 Pearl St., just south of the mall on 15th St.). Come enjoy live music, $4.00 glasses of select BookCliff Vineyards wine, and free appetizers (while they last!). You can also warm up with our seasonal Mulled Wine. For those that don't know it's red wine warmed with spices (cinnamon, cloves, etc.) and sugar. It's a great winter treat on these cold December days and nights. Can't wait to see you!

Live Music at the Tasting Room

Have y'all been in to catch the live jazz that we have every Friday from 7:30 until 9:30? If not why not start this Friday. Bring a friend, get a bottle of our new wine Friday's Folly (only $9.99!), relax on the super-comfy sofa and enjoy the music. If you need a bite to eat, then in addition to the chocolates at Belvedere you can order up a couple appetizers such as different pizzas or bruschetta prepared by the great people at Trattoria on Pearl.
